The following radar summaries are kind of nice because they not only give the
intensity of the precipitation, but the direction and speed the cells are moving.http://www.intellicast.com/LocalWeather/World/UnitedStates/RadarSummary/
The following link is the US Navy's weather related site, and has some interesting stuff for all the oceans.

Boating Hazards and Obstructions
The NOAA Office of Coast Survey's Hydrographic Surveys Division maintains an Automated Wreck and Obstruction Information System (AWOIS). The file contains information on approximately 10,000 submerged wrecks and obstructions in the coastal waters of the United States. Information includes latitude and longitude of each feature along with some brief historic and descriptive details. A sample copy of a wreck listed in the AWOIS data base is available for view.
Limited fields of the AWOIS data base, containing Name (if known), the
affected chart number, position, and the datum of the position are
available on-line. This database is searchable on-line at this site by
either:
Chart Number,
Latitude/Longitude Limits, or
Wreck Name
